Times Square…mid-afternoon

Bright lights.

Big city.

Low temperatures. (Yes, that is snow on the roof of the taxi)

That 23 at the bottom of the picture? It’s the current temperature (at about 3.30pm) in Fahrenheit. For those of us more acquainted with Celsius…that makes it minus 5 degrees.

But the big excitement in the media today was giving us the ‘wind chill’ temperature…that is, the temperature it feels like when you add the wind.

Today’s lowest reported wind chill temperature was somewhere around -24 degrees Celsius.

Brrrr. Only just starting to get feeling back in my nose.
