Continuing our climb to the top
In Italy, we ascended the Campanile in Venice, walked on the roof of Milan’s Duomo and climbed the 400-plus steps to the top of Florence’s Duomo.
So, how could we miss the chance to go to The Top in Dubai?
‘At The Top’ is the Burj Khalifa’s observation deck, located on level 124 of the world’s tallest tower. A lift whisks you to the observation deck with an alarming speed, and the need to equalise your ears several times. The tower is over 800 metres tall and has 160+ floors.
The view from level 124 is quite spectacular.
And while we were up there, we were able to look down on the Dancing Fountains.
Which look like this at ground level…
They’re quite spectacular in a glitzy Las Vegas kind of way. At least, I imagine that’s what Vegas must be like.
