Singapore does have a reputation as being the ‘Asia-lite’ city. It  is definitely cleaner, more ordered and more sanitised than many other Asian cities we’ve been to. But there are still places to find some local colour.

The tall modern building to the right is the Capital Tower, Singapore’s 4th tallest skyscraper. It was completed in 2000. I’d be interested to know if the shape of the building was influenced by the way it would appear alongside the temple in this view, but so far, despite my best efforts, I have not been able to find that out.

The Buddha Tooth Relic Temple and museum. It was getting late in the day when we walked past it, so didn’t go inside. I wish we had now.
