Week 1 of the #feetonmyhometown Instagram Challenge
One person’s foreign land is another person’s home town. Throughout the month of October Instagram-ers around the world are showcasing their city, village, town, island or hamlet through the #feetonmyhometown Instagram Challenge!
We’re now one week into the #feetonmyhometown Instagram Challenge and it has been a fabulous whistle-stop tour of the world’s home towns each day. (You can read all the details of the Challenge via the link above.)
Participants have shown off home towns from all parts of the globe: Sydney, Melbourne, The Blue Mountains, Wellington, Chicago, Perth, Abu Dhabi, London, Burleigh Heads, Brisbane, The Gold Coast, Redfern, Maroubra, Singapore, Tokyo, Leura, Taupo, Roturua, York, Malvern, Welshpool, Swanbourne, Cottesloe…
It’s been fascinating to catch glimpses of interesting aspects of each of these places each day.

It’s not too late for you to join in!
At the top of this post you’ll find the prompts for this week. The idea is that each day you post a photo from your home town that somehow relates to that prompt, and in doing so you’ll be showing the rest of the Instagram world interesting aspects of where you live.
Plus you add hashtags (#feetonmyhometown and #feeton[name of your home town]) so that other people taking part can find your photos to like and comment on. Perhaps you’ll even find some great new accounts to follow.
And if you’d like daily reminders of the prompt straight to your email inbox – just click on this link.
See you on Instagram!
