Britannia has left the building

It was a sad day on Friday when we took our English exchange student Britannia out to the airport and watched as her plane left for home.

Over the three months, we had become very attached to her, and were reluctant to let her go!  However, we knew her parents and family (and dogs!) would be *very* keen to see her safely back home again.

So that’s the first part of the exchange over, and the second part commences in two weeks time when Queenie and the other Melbourne girls head over to Old Blighty for their three months as the exchangees. Queenie is very much looking forward to being on Britannia’s turf.

It’s been an exhausting past three months…but so worth it. The experience was extremely rewarding for all of us. Not only did we have a lot of fun, but we’ve forged bonds with Britannia and her family that I’m sure will endure forever..
